This part is located within the pressure relief valve section. The pressure relief valve, commonly also called the PRV, relief valve or safety valve, is used to manage the pressure in a system. It is set to open if the pressure within the system rises past a certain point to prevent the system being severely damaged . Each PRV has a set "bar", once this bar is reached the pressure relief valve opens and the build up of water is discharged which reduces the amount of pressure within the system .
