This part is located near the pilot burner. The pilot burner works with the pilot assembly to ensure that the fuel is ignited safely and efficiently. When the appliance is activated the gas valve releases the gas into the burner and the pilot burner, a flame inside the appliance is needed to ignite the gas which is flowing into the burner .
