The Automatic Air Vent is a pressure safety mechanism used to release unwanted air out of the system. The air vent is automatic as it will shut off by itself when water enters the system. The device works using a float which is located within the Automatic Air Vent and as water comes through, the float lifts up and shuts off the valve. This will then stay shut until the water level drops and the float drops with it, the vent will then reopen.
