The diverter valve is a directional water device that is only found on a combi boiler, which allows hot water to be guided to either the radiators for central heating or to the taps for hot water. This is a feature that is unique to combi boilers and why they are so popular due to the fact a cylinder is not required and can still provide water to both the taps and radiators .
