The pilot burner works with the PCB and pilot assembly to ensure that the gas is ignited safely and efficiently. When the appliance is switched on the gas valve releases the gas into the main burner and the pilot burner, a flame within the appliance is needed to begin the combustion of the gas which is coming into the burner .
