The insulation is commonly used inside the combustion chamber and is used to reduce the amount of heat being lost through the side of the combustion chamber, which means the boiler will be more efficient. Insulation must be handled with care as it can be fragile and any damage to the insulation can allow heat to escape, the escaping heat may cause damage to other parts of the boilers which are sensitive to heat such as the PCB .
