The pilot burner works in conjunction with the PCB and pilot assembly to ensure that the fuel is ignited safely and efficiently. When the appliance is switched on the gas valve allows the gas into the main burner and the pilot burner, a naked flame within the appliance is needed to ignite the gas which is flowing into the main burner .
